It’s very frustrating to read the news and see these bizarre catch phrases and names spreading across the news media, whether it be naming snowstorms or the “polar vortex.”

But we can’t get enough of random names, because now it’s… the “pollen vortex?” Yep, the cold, harsh winter we suffered means that spring came late, and all this pent up pollen is attacking us this month.

I certainly know the value of a good headline, but I sometimes don’t get the need for these gimmicky phrases to explain straightforward things, other than to get people click on yet another article. But then, I guess that’s the point, and here I am writing about it anyway.
