I know I just posted about Postmodern Jukebox last month, but I’m really getting into what they’re doing to transform pop hits into another era. I also think the pairing of singers, era and tune is getting stronger as they move along; their take on Ellie Goulding’s “Burn” is particularly inspired.
I just love the smaller details; the simple choreography, the sax player’s actual burning performance, and so on. Following their particularly scorching take on Beyonce’s “Drunk in Love,” below, recently, they’re on a roll.
Their music is readily available on iTunes, making it even easier to dive in. Check them out if you haven’t already; it’s an inspired and refreshing take on pop music.
