The original story is one I saved last fall and fell in love with: An adventure race team encounters a dog, feeds him a meatball, and he tags along for the remaining legs of a grueling race.

It’s a really cool story, and showing how man’s best friend can truly be just that, but international rules lead to other challenges, such as the four-month quarantine Arthur just endured to be able to be reunited with his new family. Thankfully, that ended last month, and in the photo that leads this page, which came from the team’s Facebook page, Arthur has been reunited and is in great health (although, given the race he ran with them, it’s not surprising he’d rebound).

It’s a phenomenal story, and hopefully Arthur gets to tag along on future endeavors; he seems to like it!
