For many of us who grew up in the ’80s and ’90s, we got our first taste of Ben Affleck as a child actor in this educational series that was shown in middle school science classes across the country.  

The multi-part series and its sequel told a story, and then followed it up with an educational piece that related to the story. Before Bill Nye, “The Voyage of the Mimi” was a big deal.

Thanks to YouTube, the series lives on, and millions of us can relive a portion of our academic childhood.
