A generic brand video that hits the spot

What happens when an article in McSweeney’s parodying brand videos that all look the same is turned into a video with actual stock imagery to hit the point harder? You get this amazing YouTube video produced by the team at Dissolve, a stock video company.

The narration and clips mesh perfectly with Kendra Eash’s original creation, and really does come off like an overblown brand video with scientists, speeding trains and big words that’d earn you some good points on a Scrabble board. It’s a clever way to market what they’re selling, while at the same time illustrating everything that’s generic with brand video
