I’ve written here previously about Lily Allen’s new album, and have mixed feelings about various elements about the album, but perhaps my favorite track at the moment is the bizarrely-themed “URL Badman.”
The song oscillates between airy beat-and-piano driven verses and dubstep-backing choruses. The lyrics are focused exactly where you’d expect them given the title, in the standard Lily Allen fashion.
Where 15 years ago artists were name-checking AOL and MCI, now it’s Vice and WordPress. What a world. Regardless, I find it awfully catchy.
