Every so often Nick at The Littlest Winslow pops up a music post that catches my attention. A couple of weeks ago, he posted a few tracks by Cash Cash, which seems to blend the pop/EDM/dubstep line pretty well within their repertoire.
Of the songs he posted, I dig “Overtime” the most; the track’s probably the most pop friendly of them. It’s a well produced song that doesn’t overdue the EDM portions of it either.
More over the top, but clever in its own way as an homage, is “Michael Jackson.” One verse crams in a ton of references to Jackson’s music by calling out song titles. It’s not as hokey as it sounds; it certainly flows a lot better than LFO’s “Summer Girls.”
Nick’s made the blog three times with music recommendations he’s made; as such, you should probably check out The Littlest Winslow for yourself to see what else he’s up to, as I do regularly.
Additional listening
Given how cold it’s been, let’s pop “Summer Girls” on the post for additional listening, shall we?
And while we’re at it, here’s Len’s “Steal My Sunshine.” It all kind of works together, or at the very least makes me feel a bit better.
