Earlier in the year, I shared with you the initial animation preview for the upcoming Peanuts movie and noted how faithful the new movie appears to be to the source material. With a longer trailer now available, I continue to be hopeful overall that this reboot will keep things on track.
The animation continues to be stellar; I’m not certain about the modern music being dropped into the middle of it; it feels weird somehow compared to the Vince Guaraldi classic music. It’s great to see Snoopy flying his house again, and it’s pretty incredible to hear Bill Melendez being utilized as Snoopy and Woodstock (he unfortunately passed away, but they’re using previous recordings to provide continuity).
The trailer is worth a watch, and we don’t have too much longer now before the movie makes it to theaters.
