The Swedish Chef is one of many memorable Muppet characters that has seen his profile grow again with the relaunch of the Muppets in the past few years. However, a performance a few years ago at the Just for Laughs festival in Montreal really underscores why the Chef is so entertaining.

This clip features both the Chef and a comedian that followed, doing comic material that focuses around the Swedish Chef (by intent, so he could perform with them), and the entire clip that results is pretty entertaining.

Of course, the Swedish Chef has been entertaining people for decades, and the classic clips have made their way to YouTube. Chef vs. the Chicken is probably one of my all-time Muppet Show favorites (with a nice “Pigs in Space” cameo too). Enjoy!
