60 days, no interruptions: The daily grind.

Two months ago, I set out to attempt again what I couldn’t do last year; post daily without interruptions.  I made it five weeks before falling down last time; this time around I’ve made it to the two month mark, and even managed to sneak in a second post in a day once during the duration.

I find December the easiest month to write, as Christmas music entries take up roughly a third of the month without much sweat, and filling in the gaps becomes pretty easy.  Once you take those out, there’s more work to do.  This is, for all intents and purposes, a filler post, because I’ve been so busy as of late I haven’t done as much reading or discovery, which means less post inspirations.

That said, I do have a bunch of drafts for potential topics, but sometimes it’s hard to write about them for one reason or another.  I’m also trying to contain video posts to not be a daily presence; you’ll notice it’s more of an alternating-day rhythm most of the time (with Thursday, which started as an accident but is now being maintained in the spirit of Throwback Thursday, as more of an “old stuff on YouTube” sort of thing).

For me, I feel the last two months has been the most fun in awhile, and I hope I can keep it up. Looking back over, I’m pretty enthused with what I was able to cover in that time, including a lot of new music discovery, some fun older videos, a bit of personal topics, and so on.

It continues to surprise me that for whatever reason, I don’t find that much reason to write about tech; perhaps I spend enough time in that headspace at work.  But I’ve still had a good diversity of topics nonetheless.

As I write this, there’s nothing completed in the hopper; during the holidays I was as much as two weeks ahead, and even a couple of weeks ago I was able to get a week’s worth of posts ahead at certain points, so I might be running out of steam.  But I haven’t given up quite yet, and there’s still some more things I plan on sharing this week, so stay tuned.
