When they weren’t making videos for Microsoft, the cast of Friends was producing a decade’s worth of popular sitcom content. But what happens if you edit out all the jokes and just focus on the plot?

Clocking in at under three minutes, the plot focuses around Pheobe’s hatred of Pottery Barn and its fake stories, and Joey’s girlfriend’s dislike of Joey’s friends. It sounds about as inane as it plays out, which shows why comedies really are just loosely designed to allow for rapid fire jokes.

The YouTube uploader is clearly expecting a trend, as two others were uploaded the same day: Seinfeld’s classic Junior Mint episode, above, and an episode of The Big Bang Theory, below.
