It was just a few months ago I was noting that, although appearing as a featured artist now and then, we hadn’t heard much from Annie in awhile.  Thankfully, that’s changed recently, as the “A&R” EP has hit iTunes.  The lead single, “Back Together,” seen above, is an amazingly retro piece of dance pop. Annie’s penchant for briding the past and present, seen on songs like “Greatest Hit,” remains in full effect here. The equally retro video adds to the charm.

The rest of the EP fits in well with the motif established on “Back Together,” with a decidedly early 90s vibe overall.  While the others songs don’t quite carry the same punch as “Back Together,” bonus points go to Annie for spinning a nice love song about Ralph Macchio.
