I’ve written here previously about the eBook settlements book publishers made regarding lawsuits around eBook pricing.  Previously, settlement amounts made the news, but the actual payments seemed further and further in the distance.

The December 6 deadline has now passed, and we’re in a final window, ending January 5, for appeals; assuming nothing else transpires, we may finally see the payments come through shortly thereafter.  For the more voracious readers (or at least eBook buyers among us), the credits are a welcome development coming into the new year, so hopefully things will stay on track.
