I’m going way back with this one, but it’s hard to ignore talent when you see it. Awhile back I shared that video of the Ross Sisters, and I’ve featured the modern group The Puppini Sisters, but I’ve yet to feature one of the most talented (and actual family) groups to perform in the 20th century: The Andrews Sisters.
Their tight harmonies certainly have influenced groups like the Puppini Sisters, but they were an actual family act with various trials and tribulations. That said, they were magical as performers and were successful for quite a few years thanks to their abilities. Here’s one of their classics, “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy of Company B.”
Christina Aguilera took inspiration from the harmonies of the Andrews Sisters for the considerably more modern “Candyman.”
