Blocked from writing; the opposite of Writers’ block

It’s a great thing when you’re so busy that you have plenty of things to keep you occupied, but generally, that means the blog falls into the abyss.  Unlike other times, when I’ve actually been struggling to find topics, I actually have a dozen drafts in here of topics I’d like to flesh out (including my trip to see Andrew McMahon in concert last week), but unfortunately time has been limited.

Tuesday’s post is one I missed that was written but didn’t actually post for some reason.  I’m hoping to catch up this week!

Back to blogging

Back to the attempt to blog daily (I made it all of five weeks the first time).  This is a busy time of year; I participate in two organizations that are building towards their major fundraisers right now, which will keep me busy until early March, but the number of topics I wish to write about are building up quickly, so I’m going to start working towards getting back to daily posts again. Stay tuned!

Vacation.

I almost let the entire day slip by without a post, breaking an almost month-long daily post string, so instead of letting that happen just yet (I’m sure it’ll happen at some point soon), let me just say happy holidays to those of you checking out the site, and note that I do have a lot of content getting ready to go, and there’s some good stuff to come.  Thanks to those of you reading and commenting!

My work vacation just kicked in today, so I’m hoping to do some additional sprucing up around here during the time off.

No rest for the weary.

Programming note: I had planned to write up something relating to the Newtown incident, as it invoked a bit of my history, but I hadn’t planned on having my car being hit by a truck while I was heading in to the Connecticut Post today. So that’ll wait. But I’m OK.

Christmas Present post (written already) is scheduled for tomorrow, and I have a couple of other things in the works, but I’ll probably post my thoughts about Newtown sometime tomorrow.

I hope all is well, and safe, during a difficult time.

New site is live!

It’s been nine years since I last redesigned my personal site, which was deep in college land. In 15 years of doing websites this is the first time my personal site is on a CMS (my “commercial” site, INPursuit, has been on one for seven years, but it too is in dire need of an update). This is also one of my first forays into designing a site; I’m sure I’ve trended into cliche enough with the design, but I got to try some newer techniques, which is always a good thing.

I’ve already got some plans for the blog, and the site itself will expand a bit (portfolio samples of my print/web work, an actual resume) but it’s great to have this at least up and running! Thanks for joining me for this latest venture.
